GMPF needed to update their antiquated website. A new design, updated navigation and engaging content were created to provide their audience of over 375,000 members with a simple-to-use experience.
Online forms and digital processes were introduced in an aim to reduce the workload of the helpline and enable both members and employers of GMPF to self serve, saving both time and money.
GMPF
The Brief
After years of updating their website in-house, GMPF – the UK’s largest local government pension fund – knew it was time to commission an update. The brief was to modernise and minimise the site – creating a clear navigation and reducing it from 800 pages to a more manageable level that would engage readers.
The Solution
The Outcome
With over 375,000 member accounts we needed to ensure the solution we were building was going to be robust. Over 5,000 people visit the site every day, carrying out personal transactions, updating details of member accounts and governing the fund.
Employer processes are streamlined from both the employer’s perspective and by GMPF.
The site also employs various feedback mechanisms to gather regular member feedback which enables GMPF administrators to ensure the site is as useful as possible to members.
I found the site very easy to navigate and understand
